About Me

My photo
What actually took place is this: I tried keeping rules and working my head off to please God, and it didn't work. So I quit being a "law man" so that I could be God's man. Christ's life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not "mine," but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. Galations 2:19-20

Operation Christmas Child

I have spent the past 15 years of my life (give or take a few years) packing a shoe box with Operation Christmas child. I think this is such a wonderful project. This year I wanted to do this with my group of girls at church. All of the teachers wanted to do it as well so we made this our Christmas project for Missionettes. We packed over 30 boxes and have already received information that some of our boxes have made it to Ukraine and another in India. We mostly packed shoe boxes for girls in the 5-9 age range because a majority of the girls are in that age range as well. Some did old and a few did boys. Our girls did such a fantastic job and really took time to think about the kids on the receiving end. We were so proud. 'It is more blessed to give than to receive'" Acts 20:35 NIV

Halloween

Not much here for Halloween..... The girls dressed in full 80's fashion. They already had most of the clothes. I added a few accessories, purchased shirts at the Thrift Store, and did an iron on applique. They were too cute...
We spent the night at our church Trunk or Treat. Next year, we will be on the other end serving the community and handing out candy.
